Art & Culture Delights of Brazil
- 9 Days/ 7Nights
Brazil is widely known for the exuberance of its
Carnaval, for its Macumba black magic, and for the
beauty and friendliness of its people. However,
Brazil houses a surprising diversity of cultures and
an astonishing wealth of breathtaking artistic
achievements. View works by the country's foremost
architects, sculptors, painters, landscape artists,
at fine museums and art galleries. Meet people of
the Brazilian circle of art. Enjoy spectacular
folkloric & samba shows and sample the distinctive
flavors of a cuisine that reflects its people's
passion for pleasure.
Day 01- Depart the
U.S. to Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.
Day 02-
Arrival and transfer to Hotel. Evening folklore show
with dinner. (D)
Day 03- City
tour including cultural aspects of the city. Lunch
at local restaurant. Visit the Bahian Museum of
Modern Art and its lovely gardens and the Carlos
Costa Pinto Museum. (B)
Day 04- Visit
to the Afro-Brazilian Art Museum. Remainder of day
at leisure. (B)
Day 05- Flight
to Rio de Janeiro and transfer to hotel. Evening
dinner and samba show. (BD)
Day 06- Tour
to Corcovado Mountain and Rio's Botanical Garden.
After lunch, visit Marly Faro's gallery and bistro
with an art exhibition prepared and presented by the
sculptor/curator. (BL)
Day 07- In the
morning Curatorial visit to the Museum of Modern Art
(MAM) and its gardens. Lunch and city tour ending at
the Sugar Loaf Mountain for a breathtaking view of
Copacabana Beach and the bay at sunset.
Day 08- Visit
the Chácara do Céu Museum with its outstanding
collection of modern Brazilian art. (BL)
Day 09- Tour
of the Contemporary Art Museum designed by Oscar
Niemeyer. Afternoon at leisure. Evening transfer to
airport for return flight to Miami. (B)
