In the vastness of the South Atlantic Ocean, a remote archipelago of almost 200 islands, islets and rocks known as The Falklands / Malvinas, is actually a fascinating wildlife paradise. The Falklands host a large number of marine birds and mammals, such as southern elephant seals, South American sea lions, fur seals, king cormorants and 5 species of penguins (the gentoo, the Magellanic, rockhopper and the colorful king penguin), as well as other rare and exclusive species.
For visiting this fascinating islands we’ll fly from Punta Arenas, in southern Chile and visit some of the most interesting locations, connecting them on Islander crafts of the local FIGAS’ airlines. As there are few hotels in the Falklands we’ll overnight some days at sheep farming stations or ranches, where we’ll also enjoy the rural lifestyle of the Falkland Islands.
