Nights
Peru is blessed with a rich and ancient past and a
vibrant present. Thousands of archaeological sites are found all over the
country, ranging from 10,000 year old campsites of early hunters to the
monumental stone walls of sixteenth century Inca Cuzco.
Day 01-
Lima. Arrival,
reception and transfer to the hotel. Check in and overnight.
Day 02-
Flight Lima/Cuzco.
City and nearby ruins tour: the
amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces, the
Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral, the Inca
fortress of Sacsayhuaman, temple of Kenko and Tambomachay, known as the "Baths
of the Inca". (B)
Day 03-
Full Day
Pisac Market,
a unique typical town, which is
filled with locals in their colorful traditional costumes trading goods after a
traditional mass and procession. Continue to
the highlight of this day, a visit to the fortress of Ollantaytambo that
guarded the Inca Empire from the fierce jungle Indians.

Day 04-
Full Day Machu Picchu guided tour with lunch.
Visit the most magnificent citadel of
Machu Picchu, elected one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. Hiram Bingham
discovered the Lost City of the Incas, in 1911; it consists of an enormous city
hidden on a spectacular green mountain plateau surrounded by three towering
peaks, while llamas roam on its slopes. Overnight in Aguas Calientes. (BL)
Day 05-
Morning at leisure to explore the ruins on your own. At scheduled
time, return to Cuzco for overnight.
Day 06-
Bus ride to
Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world,
on the border with Bolivia. Along the trip view of the herds of alpaca and
llamas, small villages, and the majestic backdrop of the Andes. Lunch included.
Arrival Puno and overnight. (BL)
Day 07-
Cruise
Titicaca Lake to the floating islands of the Uros Indians, Tour to Sillustani,
circular stone towers used as graves for nobles in pre-Inca times.
Return to the hotel. Overnight. (BL)
Day 08-
Puno/Juliaca/Arequipa.
Land transfer to Juliaca and flight to Arequipa.
Tour of the “White City”
including the Santa Catalina convent, Plaza de Armas, Jesuit Church of La
Compañia and its beautiful painted chapel, the districts of Cayma and Yanahuara.
Overnight in Arequipa. (B)
Day 09--
Day Tour to
Colca Canyon to see the Condors.
Flight to Lima. Arrival, transfer to
the hotel.
Day 10-
Breakfast, morning at leisure. Lunch or dinner in a local restaurant.
Transfer to the airport for return flight to Miami. (BL)
